Described by Monty Don as "a beautiful modern garden created on the grandest possible scale",  Breezy Knees features award winning gardens, a specialist perennial nursery and café. They have a higher Trip Advisor rating than many other better known British  gardens and are situated on the eastern outskirts of York, some 5 miles from the city centre.

Breezy Knees is a real hidden gem.

People with limited mobility note there a walk before entering the gardens.

Café and plant nursery on site.

You cannot picnic in the grounds but there are ample benches at the entry point near the café
